PTO Fundraiser Kickoff

Monday was the official kickoff of our PTO fundraiser. Your child came home with a packet of information and details on sales. Students are selling items in order to help fund many of the wonderful things the PTO does for our school. Students will have the opportunity to win prizes and compete with others in our school and our class. Thank you for all of your help in this process! Orders are due Monday!

Make Connections!

This week our class focused very hard on making connections with the stories read in class. We practiced discussing these connections, as well as writing them down. There are three types of connections we can make with our reading.
1. Text to Self
2. Text to Text
3. Text to World
We have touched on text to self connections and look forward to moving on in the future!

Writing-
This week students continued working on Meap focused writing. Students are comparing text and writing about a question given to them about the text they read.

Math-
Our attention this week was placed on the concepts of multiplication, temperature, and basic addition and subtraction. Please continue working on adding and subtracting at home!

Science-
Discussions and experiments this week have focused on planting our own classroom garden. We are taking observations and making predictions daily.
